About
As an Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing data solutions using Google Big Query and SQL Server. With a focus on optimizing data workflows, you will ensure seamless integration and performance. Your expertise will drive innovation and efficiency, contributing to the company's strategic goals and societal impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. SQL Server Development • Design, develop, and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. • Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization. • Manage SQL Server databases, including backups, restores, user permissions, and monitoring. • Work on ETL processes, data imports/exports, and integration with external systems.
2. Google BigQuery • Develop and optimize BigQuery SQL scripts for large-scale datasets. • Build efficient data pipelines using BigQuery and related GCP tools (e.g., Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub). • Implement partitioning, clustering, and cost-optimized design strategies. • Perform analysis and transform data to support reporting and analytics needs.
3. Deployment & Automation Scripts • Develop and maintain deployment scripts using technologies such as:
o PowerShell
o Bash/Shell scripting
o Python
o Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager (optional but beneficial) • Automate database deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar). • Create scripts for schema updates, data migrations, and environment configuration.
Qualifications • 10 + years of relevant experience. • Extensive experience in designing and implementing data architectures using Google Big Query and SQL Server. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. • Proven track record of optimizing data workflows and processes for enhanced performance. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • In-depth knowledge of data security and compliance standards. • Ability to lead and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment. • Familiarity with industry trends and advancements in data architecture.
Certifications Good to Have:
Google Associate or professional level certification
