What You'll Do
In this role, you will be the go to expert for keeping systems running and users supported. Your day to day will include: • Managing and tracking work through a ticketing system • Repairing, testing, imaging, and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, and related hardware • Troubleshooting software, hardware, and peripheral issues • Setting up, configuring, and deploying new equipment • Supporting asset management and inventory tracking • Installing, moving, adding, and changing hardware and software • Ensuring timely follow up and resolution of support tickets • Assisting with server maintenance, upgrades, and patching • Performing backups, recovery procedures, and security tasks • Diagnosing and reporting outages of critical systems • Assisting with network troubleshooting and physical network maintenance • Providing in person technical support to end users • Backing up and transferring user data • Helping improve and document IT processes • Supporting IT team workflows, escalations, and ongoing operations • Traveling occasionally to Colville locations including Anchorage, Fairbanks, Prudhoe Bay, and Valdez
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with a great attitude and customer focus: • 3 to 5 plus years of experience supporting PC hardware and software • Strong troubleshooting skills beyond basic desktop support • Experience with hardware repair including motherboards, RAM, hard drives, and CPUs • Solid understanding of Windows operating system issues including blue screens, Outlook, and network printers • Basic network troubleshooting skills and ability to support infrastructure as smart hands • Experience working in an enterprise environment, manufacturing experience is a plus • Strong written communication and documentation skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently • A positive, high energy approach to problem solving and customer service • Professional, team oriented mindset with a process driven approach
