In our specialist Design and Engineering Team, we are dedicated to creating innovative and sustainable design solutions. It is in this innovative team that we have an opportunity for a Customer Solutions Engineer, referred to internally as a Pavement Engineer. So, what's the role?

With the training and support offered by your manager and the rest of the team, you will be putting your stakeholder management and design skills to great use. You will be providing engineering and design solutions within the specialist area of Pavement Engineering. You’ll work closely with the external sales teams, becoming the ‘go-to’ for technical design advice. As a ‘people person’ with fantastic communication skills, you’ll engage with a wide range of customers and internal stakeholders. Your customers will include landscape architects, consultant engineers, main contractor design teams, local authorities, and housing developers. Key to success in this area is your ability to balance your technical knowledge while communicating it in an engaging and consultative way; adding value to projects and securing sales with your specialist advice. Your expertise will also be sought out to create technical proposals, build and deliver engineering-focused CPD presentations, and provide support to the resolution of on-site issues. Your natural curiosity and eye on future innovation will be a great asset as you support the development of new products, systems, and design methodology. What skills do you need to bring?

Experience of working in a Technical Sales role, ideally in a similar industry A proven interest in engineering and design with a natural curiosity A love of building long and lasting relationships The ability to manage your own time and priorities efficiently A willingness to develop and grow your skills A Civil Engineering related degree or working towards a relevant professional qualification with a good understanding of construction standards would be beneficial A full driving license and the ability to travel throughout the South of England So, what’s in it for you?
