The Multimedia Design Intern will create graphics and videos to support NRF brand and event marketing campaigns across digital, print and social.
Essential Functions
Design a wide variety of digital and print assets, including websites, digital ads, organic and paid social, interactive media, printed signs and collateral, animated graphics, and videos
Conceptualize innovative creative concepts and ensure designs follow brand guidelines for marketing campaigns, brand, membership and advocacy projects?
Consult with internal clients to conceptualize and guide creative solutions that solve creative and business needs
Establish the look and feel for various designed assets that live across multiple digital and print assets
Research print/production resources and works with vendors and internal clients to develop and manage print projects
Participate in video and photography shoots
Collaborate with design team and colleagues across the organization
Stay ahead of design trends and pitches creative ideas to the team
Develop internal and external presentations for NRF spokespeople
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Concentration in graphic design, web design, multimedia, or relevant field
Knowledge of design fundamentals and principles
Creative thinker and problem solver
Intermediate level with a strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (must be familiar with several programs Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, etc.)
Experience with Canva and knowledge of social media trends
Familiarity with UX/UI design, wireframes, layout and typography, branding, color processes, and print production
Video production and photography skills a plus
Portfolio of design or video projects
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience juggling multiple projects while effectively managing timelines
Strong visual, verbal and written communication skills
A self-starter with an ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and individually to drive results
