Executive Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced
Master Data Analyst
to understand functional and technical requirements, analyze data, develop and deploy complex reports, and create project documentation related to agency applications. The ideal candidate is a
DMV resident
with
16 years of extensive experience
in relational database technologies, SQL development, and data analysis, with expertise in authorized IT system approaches for database management. The candidate will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across multiple systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support continuous improvement in data quality and governance. Position Responsibilities
Interface independently with high-level stakeholders via meetings, emails, and calls to manage data projects. Gather and document requirements and collect sample data throughout all project phases to ensure data quality. Work with agency resources to analyze, compile, verify, and query data for data warehousing and reporting purposes. Develop
complex SQL queries
for reports, dashboards, and business intelligence tools. Create and maintain
metadata and data dictionaries . Design and document methods to implement new database systems. Develop and implement reports using SQL and other BI tools. Develop and administer data standards, policies, and procedures; propose new standards and techniques. Design solutions to meet processing requirements and solve complex problems. Develop scripts to identify and correct data inconsistencies in incoming data. Troubleshoot database and reporting issues, including input, retrieval, and modification of enterprise data. Perform complex data analyses to validate, correct, and reconcile data inconsistencies. nalyze requirements and specifications for enterprise systems and applications. Plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements. Evaluate the impact of technological changes and propose solutions to complex technical issues. Operate and maintain Business Intelligence systems and ancillary analytics systems. Coordinate activities with project managers throughout the full
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) , including design, development, and testing. ct as a technical lead on data-driven reporting and application development projects with minimal oversight. Keep abreast of current trends in database management, analytics, and data governance. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
16 years of experience
with relational database technologies and SQL development. Extensive knowledge of
IT standards, principles, concepts, methods, policies, and system testing approaches . Extensive knowledge of
authorized IT system approaches
for database management. Expertise in
analytical methods, requirement analysis, and problem-solving . Extensive experience in
data modeling, metadata creation, data dictionaries, database views, and dashboards . Deep understanding of
data warehousing concepts
and collaboration with data architects on schema design. Knowledge of
BI systems operations and maintenance . Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical and non-technical information. Demonstrated ability to
speak and write clearly
to diverse audiences. Expert in
data analysis and SQL code development . Knowledge of
SDLC
and ability to manage small IT projects with minimal oversight. Education / Certification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field , or equivalent experience.
