About

Why is this open:

Need a resource to come in and build a new vehicle platform from the ground up. They will be creating new system designs for a new automotive technology group. This person will engage in code reviews, system design, and will help keep the team moving forward/advancing from a security perspective.

Mission:

What is the candidate going to accomplish within this position? Build security infrastructure where features can be built on top of this infrastructure where the technology is being built flexibly, moves quickly, and new features are built securely.

Day-to-Day:

-reviewing specifications

-working with the team to ensure the designs are secure

-Involved in answering technical roadmap questions at a high-level

-developing security features

-requirements development

-reviewing test plans, reviewing designs, implementation plans, requirements (need to ensure seamless process of these steps to ensure they are being completed correctly)

-writing requirements

-code reviews

Must Haves (and how they are used):

3-5 must haves

-Need to have experience with automotive networking (CAN) which is control area networking, automative Ethernet, automotive protocols, UDS (unified diagnostics service), physical layers and protocols familiarity, physical layer familiarity, diagnostics over IP

-Securing the system at the local level; being able to develop a secure system

-automotive experience; being familiar with all automotive security standards

-embedded development; environments vary = targeting automotive microprocessors on MAC, Windows or Linux

Plusses:

1-2 plusses - university, any similar companies, etc

-background in relevant standards for automotive

-Requirements development experience

-understanding automotive compliance requirements

-key and certificate management
