Overview
The Business Analyst role is responsible for the Planning, Definition, Prioritization, Documentation, Quality assurance, and Delivery of new business functionality and capabilities delivered through 84Sales. The business analyst is the key connection between the business units and the IT team. As a contributor on the 84Sales team this role involves the direct facilitation of end-user sessions, requirements planning, scope definition, change management, business case development, Communication, end-user training, and delivery of web application solutions. This role would work as a member of the IT team across the enterprise organization and business units to support 84Sales projects and development needs.
Responsibilities
Key liaison with the business (THQ & Field) users [Installed Sales & EWP depts.]
Run, support, and enhance our application solutions across the enterprise
Participate in design development and testing of new solutions and solution enhancements
Provide support to business users for day-to-day system and reporting questions
Manage and maintain user accounts, roles and permissions
Prepare, package, document and present project deliverables, presentation and training materials as needed
Independently research & make recommendations for improvements or opportunities
Participate in project meetings and drive accountability for all project deliverables; facilitate effective communication between and amongst project team and key stakeholders
Work closely with IT architects and designers to translate functional requirements into a technical solution. Likewise, work closely with end-users and UAT/84Sales teams throughout the project to ensure successful delivery
Participate in testing for development tool and hardware upgrades
Provides status updates of work progress to project team and management
Develop a good working relationship with team members from source systems for coordination and resolution of batch issues
Qualifications
1+ years of experience in an IT support role working with both business users and IT professionals
Availability outside of normal working hours to provide oversight, monitor and troubleshoot problems that may arise for users in differing time zones
Strong analytical, problem-solving, deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills
Familiarity with standard software development concepts (SDLC, modeling, migration/conversion, change management, unit testing)
A willingness to learn technology to solve business problems
Ability to deliver assigned work tasks within project timelines
Interest in learning about builder supply & construction industry and company business practices
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Proven success working in a collaborative team environment
A curious self-starter who can determine viable options or the best next step to work independently to achieve results
Preferred Experience
Exposure to 84Sales or other project management tools
Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
