The Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness (RA&A) Enterprise Certification Processes team is centrally responsible for integration of certification processes across our Global Enterprise (Commercial, Defense and Global Services). We are owners of processes and documents, manage change and drive efficiency/ease of compliance all from a variety of sources.
This position will interface with ODA Unit members such as Project Administrators and Engineering Unit Members.
The team enjoys problem solving through, developing action, data analysis and driving systems level solutions. Coordinates technical messaging and partnering with the FAA on regulatory issues Ensures proper coordination across products, platforms and functional areas to promote culture of compliance to requirements and application of procedures and FAA guidance. Participates in establishing and promoting global regulatory advocacy strategies, trainings, tools, and methods.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement ~ Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience ~ Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience ~ Experience working directly with the FAA and/or ODA on Type Certification projects ~3+ years of experience in developing and/or contributing to processes, policies, and procedures in a regulated industry ~3+ years of experience working in the Aerospace industry ~ Technical aptitude to enable execution of process/procedure documents (BPM, BPIs, D6s, D950s, etc.)
Master's degree in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Experience working as a Project Administrator (PA) or Design Approval Engineer (DAE) highly valued and encouraged to apply. Experience working with Type Authorization Inspection (TIA) Systems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide reaching and longer-term impacts Experience investigating and finding solutions to complex technical or regulatory issues. Strong technical writing abilities. Experience writing, reviewing, or approving Certification plans.
