Join our premier distribution center in San Diego, California, as a Distribution Center Associate! This is a multifaceted role that contributes to the seamless operation of our logistics network. You will be involved in various warehouse activities, including receiving and stocking incoming inventory, picking and packing orders for shipment, and assisting with outgoing freight. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our products are handled efficiently and accurately from arrival to departure. You will operate various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move goods throughout the facility. A strong commitment to safety is essential; you will be required to follow all established safety procedures and diligently use personal protective equipment (PPE). This position demands physical stamina, as it involves frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. We expect candidates to have a good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics best practices. Accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management is key to success in this role. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
- Stock and organize inventory within the warehouse racking system.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use all required PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals.
- Support overall logistics and supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and PPE requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
