About
We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our growing logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our distribution center. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, organizing inventory within the warehouse, and preparing materials for outgoing shipments. This includes accurately picking items, packing them securely, and ensuring they are ready for dispatch. Operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (if certified) will be a key part of your duties. A strong focus on safety is paramount; you must strictly adhere to all safety regulations and properly use all provided PPE. We emphasize safe lifting techniques to ensure the well-being of our employees. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Understanding basic logistics principles is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Accurately store goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders for shipment according to company standards.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety and use of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of logistics processes.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
