About
We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our Durham, North Carolina facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials within the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and transporting goods to various locations. This role is critical for the smooth operation of our Logistics department, ensuring that products are handled with care and precision. A strong emphasis on Safety , adherence to operating procedures, and proper use of PPE are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock put-away and retrieval.
- Ensure that all loads are safely secured and stacked correctly.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including traffic and warehousing rules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring physical dexterity and occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain required certifications and provide documentation upon request.
The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift operator certification, a strong safety record, and experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
