In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory through diligent tracking, auditing, and process improvement. Your efforts are key to ensuring that our stock levels are precise, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory flow, identifying and reporting on slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes to ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Train other warehouse staff on inventory control best practices.
- Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and shrinkage.
Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar warehouse/logistics role. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds, and comfortable working in a warehouse environment. Understanding of logistics operations and supply chain principles. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols, including PPE, is essential.
