We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our Indianapolis, Indiana warehouse team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, managing stock locations, and ensuring that our inventory system reflects the actual physical stock. This position is vital to our logistics and supply chain management, ensuring we have the right products available at the right time. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices. We emphasize workplace Safety and require all employees to adhere to established Safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role may involve some Lifting of items up to 30 pounds and requires attention to detail and analytical skills. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock.
- Manage and maintain accurate stock locations within the warehouse.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Process inventory adjustments and transfers accurately.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
