About
We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our state-of-the-art distribution center in Orlando, Florida. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and retrieving products. Your primary focus will be on operating forklifts safely and productively to support our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Safely transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and securely.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including OSHA guidelines and company policies.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, free of obstructions.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to management.
This role requires a valid forklift certification and experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment. The ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods is also necessary.
