Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our busy Charlotte, North Carolina facility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the movement and organization of materials throughout the warehouse. Your primary duties will involve operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport goods, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. A strong understanding of logistics processes and a commitment to safety are essential. You will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures to ensure a secure working environment. The ability to perform consistent lifting and manage physical tasks is a key requirement. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
  • Move materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away.
  • Ensure materials are properly secured and stored to prevent damage or loss.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any maintenance issues.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and logistics flow.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required, up to 60 lbs.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record may be required.
  • Ability to perform manual tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and material flow principles.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Certification on specific equipment may be a plus.
