Join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina, as a Material Handler! In this essential role, you will be responsible for the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment such as forklifts (if certified), pallet jacks, and hand trucks, as well as stocking and retrieving materials from designated storage areas. Efficiency, accuracy, and a strong focus on safety are key to success. You will work in a busy environment, ensuring that materials are moved smoothly to support production and order fulfillment. Proper handling techniques and adherence to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), are critical to preventing injuries and maintaining operational flow. This position requires the ability to perform significant Lifting, typically up to 50-75 lbs. Forklift certification is a strong plus, but we offer training for motivated individuals. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stock and retrieve inventory accurately.
- Inspect equipment for safety and functionality before use.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any damage or discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
