We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in San Diego, California. In this vital role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to all safety standards. You will manage a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Your responsibilities will include optimizing workflows, managing inventory, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring timely order fulfillment within our logistics network. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse management principles and a proven ability to lead and motivate staff.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures, ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Train and develop warehouse associates.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Liaise with management and other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement operational improvements.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
