Join our thriving logistics team as an Order Picker in Columbus, Ohio! We are looking for dedicated individuals to accurately retrieve items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods. As an Order Picker, you will navigate our warehouse, utilizing scanning technology and following precise instructions to maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Read order sheets or use handheld scanners to locate and pick specified items.
- Transport picked items to the packing station or designated area.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items immediately.
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Contribute to the efficient flow of goods within the logistics chain.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform frequent walking, bending, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and correct use of required PPE.
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
