About
Operate a forklift and contribute to the efficient flow of goods in our San Jose, California warehouse as a Forklift Operator. This role requires a skilled and safety-conscious individual to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will be responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials, and to move materials around the facility. Your proficiency with forklifts and commitment to safety are paramount. We prioritize a secure working environment and require strict adherence to all Safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Load and unload trailers and containers with incoming and outgoing merchandise.
- Move inventory to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing the required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as picking, packing, or loading.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification or license. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting. Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation and warehouse Safety procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks and assist with Lifting when necessary. Strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment is essential.
