About
We are seeking a robust Material Handler to join our logistics team in Denver, Colorado. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. This includes receiving, transporting, storing, and preparing materials for shipment. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high standards of safety and operational excellence. This role is fundamental to the smooth functioning of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and identify incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, ensuring correct quantities and packaging.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Operate equipment safely and maintain its cleanliness.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety and following instructions precisely.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
