About
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy and management in our Phoenix, Arizona facility. This critical role ensures that our stock levels are precise, minimizing discrepancies and optimizing warehouse operations. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement. This position plays a key role in the efficiency of our logistics and supply chain. A strong understanding of inventory management systems and best practices is essential. You will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our stock.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain and update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure they are within optimal ranges.
- Analyze inventory data to identify slow-moving items and recommend actions.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory flow.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, and promote a culture of Safety.
- Manage the return process and ensure accurate re-stocking or disposition.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or certification in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a logistics environment.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting items up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
