We are looking for an efficient Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct items in a timely manner. You will work in a fast-paced environment where precision and speed are key. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess the physical stamina required for the role. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets.
- Pack items securely and prepare them for shipment.
- Operate order picking equipment, such as pallet jacks and RF scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Must be capable of lifting moderate to heavy items regularly.
- Consistent use of mandated PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Comfortable with lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic understanding of inventory control and logistics principles.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE.
- Team player with good communication skills.
