Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and accurately store incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Stage materials for production or shipping lines.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Wear and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist in inventory counts and stocktaking processes.
- Report any damaged materials, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to supervision immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize material flow and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment, including forklifts.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent spatial awareness and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
