Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport goods.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently.
- Receive, identify, and stock materials in their designated warehouse locations.
- Retrieve materials for order fulfillment and production needs.
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock organization.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly adhering to all safety policies.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler in a warehouse or logistics environment is essential.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices for material handling.
- Excellent spatial awareness and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
