We are seeking a capable and experienced Material Handler to join our operations in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring accurate counts and condition of goods.
- Transport raw materials, components, and finished products to and from designated storage or production areas.
- Accurately stock and retrieve materials from various warehouse locations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and protocols diligently, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and aisles.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Support shipping and receiving as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Valid forklift certification or license is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Must be willing and able to wear required PPE.
