In this position, you will be responsible for accurately picking items, packing them securely, and preparing them for shipment to our valued customers. This role is vital to our logistics network, ensuring that orders are processed efficiently and correctly, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside a dedicated team, utilizing modern warehouse technology and equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quick, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive workspace. Your precision and efficiency are key to our success in the distribution of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve items from warehouse locations based on order lists or RF scanner data.
- Inspect goods for damage and ensure quality before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Pack orders neatly and efficiently, maximizing space and minimizing damage.
- Apply correct shipping labels and prepare shipments for carrier collection.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and warehouse aisles.
- Strictly follow all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks with proficiency and care.
- Meet established targets for pick/pack speed and accuracy.
- Report any stock discrepancies or equipment issues to supervisors promptly.
- Support overall logistics operations through effective teamwork and communication.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, order fulfillment, or packing role is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Physical capacity to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse tools and equipment.
- Understanding and adherence to safety regulations and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
- A dependable and proactive approach to tasks.
