Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Stock shelves and storage areas with incoming inventory.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment with precision.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure operational goals are met.
- Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety standards and the critical importance of PPE.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and occasional overtime as business needs dictate.
- Solid grasp of logistics and supply chain processes.
Working Conditions:
This role is situated within a large distribution center, which may experience temperature variations. It demands significant physical stamina, including frequent lifting, standing, and walking. A steadfast commitment to safety is required, with strict adherence to all safety regulations and the consistent use of provided PPE being mandatory. Your role is fundamental to the efficiency of our entire logistics network.
