About
We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in San Jose, California. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse, supporting receiving, put-away, order picking, and shipping processes. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount, and adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This position requires proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. You must be able to perform occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Certification as a forklift operator is required. We are seeking reliable individuals with a strong safety record and a commitment to operational excellence.Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the facility.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and material handling.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong commitment to safety and willingness to use PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
