About
We are recruiting a skilled Material Handler for our Charlotte, North Carolina facility. This position is essential for the smooth and efficient flow of materials within our warehouse, supporting our critical logistics operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and timely movement, storage, and organization of raw materials and finished goods. Experience with material handling equipment and a strong focus on Safety are required. This role demands physical capability and a commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety regulations and protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Support the logistics team in managing warehouse flow and space utilization.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Perform tasks involving manual Lifting and maneuvering of materials as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating various types of material handling equipment is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and significant Lifting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles is a plus.
