About
Our Austin, Texas warehouse is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and stocking inventory. This role is critical for maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring operational efficiency. You must possess a valid forklift certification and have a proven track record of safe operation. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. You will be expected to perform pre-operation inspections of the forklift, maintain the equipment, and keep the work area clean and organized. This position requires physical stamina, as you may be involved in tasks that require lifting beyond the capacity of the forklift. Attention to detail is important for accurately moving and staging inventory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) to move, stack, and unstack merchandise.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently and safely.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations, including the use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as cycle counts.
- Accurately record movement of goods within the logistics system.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
