Job Summary:
Join our growing logistics team in Seattle, Washington as an Inventory Control Specialist. This pivotal role oversees the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our warehouse inventory. The Inventory Control Specialist will develop and implement strategies to minimize stock discrepancies, improve stock rotation, and optimize warehouse space utilization. You will analyze inventory data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to enhance overall operational performance. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of inventory management principles within a fast-paced logistics environment. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is essential, and proficiency in data analysis tools is highly desirable. Collaboration with department managers to align inventory strategies with business objectives is key. Responsibilities include conducting audits, managing returns, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE. While this role is less physically demanding than some, occasional lifting may be required. Your expertise will be instrumental in reducing waste, improving order fulfillment accuracy, and contributing to the overall success of our supply chain. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can drive continuous improvement in inventory management.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and optimize stock levels.
  • Manage warehouse layout and space utilization for efficient inventory storage.
  • Oversee the process of returns, damaged goods, and stock adjustments.
  • Ensure accuracy of data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to maintain optimal inventory flow.
  • Champion adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
  • Train staff on inventory control procedures and safety measures.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the logistics department.
