Join our growing team as a Forklift Operator in Raleigh, North Carolina! We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment efficiently and safely. Your primary responsibilities will include moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and transferring inventory within the warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will be responsible for inspecting the forklift daily, performing routine checks, and reporting any mechanical issues immediately to maintenance. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all company safety policies and procedures. This position requires the ability to perform significant lifting and maneuvering of materials. The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift certification, a proven track record of safe operation, and experience working in a busy logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Move and stack materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Pick and stage orders as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and productive logistics team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and physical tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and warehouse layouts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
