Our Minneapolis, Minnesota facility is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our growing logistics team. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in the efficient movement and storage of goods within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring materials are organized and accessible. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to manage inventory levels, prepare shipments, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas and to production or shipping docks.
- Stack and arrange materials in a safe and organized manner.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Maintain equipment by performing daily checks and reporting any issues.
- Ensure the warehouse environment is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and Safety awareness.
- Support the overall efficiency of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 70 pounds.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
