We are seeking dedicated and reliable Picker/Packers to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders. You will work closely with a supportive team to meet daily fulfillment targets and contribute to the overall success of our distribution center. Your responsibilities will include picking items from warehouse shelves, accurately packing them into appropriate shipping containers, and preparing orders for shipment. This is a critical role in our supply chain, ensuring our customers receive their orders promptly and correctly. We provide all necessary training and promote a culture of continuous improvement. You will be expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and inventory accuracy. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations using handheld scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping boxes, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to a supervisor immediately.
- Adhere to all PPE requirements, including wearing safety glasses and gloves when necessary.
- Be prepared for tasks involving moderate Lifting and movement of goods.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our Logistics operations.
- Prioritize Safety in all warehouse activities.
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience is a plus, but not required. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds. Basic reading and math skills. High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be reliable and punctual. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
