We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing, packing, and shipping orders to ensure timely and efficient delivery to our customers. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations and requires a strong commitment to accuracy and customer satisfaction. The Shipping Clerk will work closely with warehouse staff and transportation partners to manage outgoing shipments, maintain shipping records, and resolve any shipping-related issues. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Verify shipping information and ensure all outgoing packages are correctly labeled.
- Operate shipping software to create shipping labels and track packages.
- Coordinate with carriers for package pickup and delivery.
- Conduct quality checks on outgoing shipments to prevent errors.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, especially concerning inventory control and safety.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipment status and any potential issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Understanding of proper lifting techniques and material handling procedures is essential for maintaining safety.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety vests and gloves.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety regulations.
- This role requires flexibility in working hours, potentially including occasional overtime.
