Electronics Hardware Engineer

You will be an electronics engineer with a strong bias towards hardware. Appreciation of firmware is a good thing but we particularly want your hardware skills. You will be degree qualified or have an HND with significant experience. While the job is product design, the essential skill is knowledge and application of fundamental electronics. As well as designing your own solutions, you will peer review others and be involved in training and mentoring less experienced engineers. You will have demonstrable experience of as many of the following areas as you can tick:

Analogue Electronics, Digital Electronics, Mixed-signal, Microcontrollers, Power management, Micro power, Linear and switching regulators, Off-line SMPS to 500W, Battery charging, Multiplexing, Audio, Small signal, Power amps, Serial communications, Low level discrete design, Sub-GHz RF, Simulation, Schematic capture, Appreciation of PCB design, Appreciation of mechanical design, Prototyping, Bench testing, Fault finding, Project management, ATE, DFM, DFT, EMC, LVD, etc.You will have an analytical and methodical approach to all aspects of your work. You will be able to synthesise solutions to problems and test them through simulation and practical prototype.
