The Junior Network Engineer supports Sunwest Bank's enterprise network by handling day-to-day monitoring, troubleshooting, and standard network changes. This role is critical to maintaining network reliability, improving operational consistency, and supporting branch and infrastructure initiatives across the Bank.
Work Details
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Work Location: ☒ Onsite ☐ Hybrid ☐ Remote Travel: Occasional 10%, May need to travel to other branch locations
What You'll Do Provide Level 1-Level 2 support for network incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation Monitor network performance and perform initial triage of alerts, outages, and connectivity issues, escalating as appropriate Execute standard network changes under established change-management processes Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams, runbooks, inventories, and procedures Support installation and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and cabling Coordinate with vendors and service providers for troubleshooting and service dispatch Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and assist with upgrades, testing, and validation Support branch openings, moves, and technology refresh initiatives in coordination with internal teams What We're Looking For
(Required) Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network support, NOC, or similar operational environments Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, and Wi-Fi Experience using common network troubleshooting and monitoring tools Strong documentation, communication, and customer service skills Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional after-hours maintenance or on-call support (Nice to Have)
CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification (or actively pursuing) Exposure to Cisco switching/wireless and firewall technologies Experience working in a regulated environment such as financial services Why You'll Love Working Here

Pay Range:
$70,000 - $80,000 per year
