About
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Sales Manager to lead our E-Commerce team. This role is full time, on a permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 between Monday and Sunday. As our Sales Manager, you'll lead our Web Sales Team, based out of our state-of-the-art Head Office in the Mailbox, Birmingham, championing our philosophy of ‘phone call first' to provide excellent client service, leading by example and motivating the team, to ensure a positive client experience to all. You'll show strong selling skills to drive, achieve, and maximise E-Commerce sales against set targets.
- Please be aware this is a Monday to Sunday role, working 5 days out of 7. Weekend and Bank Holiday working will be expected in this role, although not every weekend and every bank holiday. This role does not offer hybrid working. *
What the Sales Manager Role Includes: • To call clients, discussing all upcoming art opportunities, assessing their interest with a view to buying artwork in a knowledgeable and credible manner. • Leading by example, coaching the Art Consultant team to encourage high quality interactions with clients in a proactive way, in line with company values. • Utilising the database to generate leads and create interest while discussing our art in a professional way and handle incoming sales enquiries via e-mail and telephone. • Leading your team, by example, to build excellent client relationships and developing collections over time reactively and pro-actively • Monitor sales processed for orders and being responsible for the team achieving and exceeding sales targets by keeping your team highly motivated and fostering good team spirit. • Motivating the team to work to the best of their abilities through challenging them where necessary and giving constructive feedback, with ongoing performance management. • To attend artist events and shows, encouraging this within the team to identify and implement other face to face opportunities to meet the client to maximise the sales potential. • To have a complete understanding of company operational policies and procedures, such as AML, Data Protection, and Health & Safety, in order to ensure consistent compliance within the team. • To nurture strong relationships with key internal departments including Order Processing, Gallery Services, Logistics, and Artist Management.

What We Need From You: • Previous track record of sales within a luxury retail environment. • Previous management experience is essential for this role. • Previous phone sales experience would be advantageous for this role. • Excellent team management skills with ability to motivate, lead, and develop the team. • Highly organised to be able to devise short and long-term sales strategies clearly and effectively. • Proactive, upbeat, and results focused personality. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Confidence with IT systems such as Excel. - While previous art experience is desirable it's not essential, if you have a proven track record of successful sales in a luxury environment and a drive to succeed, we would love to hear from you! *
