*Job Summary*
We are looking for a responsible Occupational Therapist responsible for evaluation/assessment; consultation to family and early intervention team and monitoring of development with a focus on sensory motor, visual-perceptual gross and fine motor and neuro-developmental motor intervention. Responsible for individual compliance under Family Infant Toddler (FIT), federal and state regulations.
*Responsibilities* */Essential Job Functions:*
* Participate in the initial and ongoing assessment/evaluation of the child's overall development; complete additional assessments/evaluations with a focus on motor development as needed; participate and provide assessment/evaluation reports in a timely manner.
* Together with the family and EI team, plan services to support the child's sensory motor and neuro-developmental fine and gross motor development, quality of movement, and orthopedic and equipment needs. Use the coaching model to support the family to support their child and provide services within the family's routines and natural environment.
* Provide direct on-going services for occupational therapy. Obtain orthopedic and other supportive equipment as needed to monitor its effectiveness. Provide consultation with the child's physician(s), as appropriate, regarding evaluation findings, outcomes and progress.
* Maintain records of contacts with the family and child, progress towards individual outcomes, and periodic re-evaluation of progress to FIT requirements
* Participate in Trans-disciplinaryTeaming to achieve service integration by working collaboratively and consulting with other disciplines.
* Maintain compliance with training requirements as identified by the NM Family Infant Toddler Program (FIT)
*Experience* :
* Working with children 0-3 years of age is preferred.
*Education Requirements:*
* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and licensure by the NM Occupational Therapy Licensing Board.
