About

Rooms To Go is seeking Sales Development Trainers who can assist our retail stores by developing and facilitating training programs for Sales Associates. The qualified individual will work on a team to assess the needs of the stores, implement training and development plans, and facilitate a wide variety of training programs that enhance the effectiveness of our Sales Associates. We have a need for dedicated trainers to create impactful learning experiences that drive lasting change and become deeply ingrained in the workplace culture. Candidates must be passionate about training, development, creating impactful learning experiences and driving organizational and sales growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Curates, works with others to help develop and facilitate training content for Sales Associates either in person or on video
Prepares for training according to the guidelines of class preparations ensuring the facility is properly set up (includes use of audio-visual equipment)
Helps develop, modify and/or create new training materials
Implements effective and purposeful training methods, demonstrating exemplary facilitation skills with a variety of delivery options
Communicates Rooms To Go policies and procedures during training
Partners with training team, and regional leaders to ensure training accomplishes company standards
Motivates Sales Associates to accomplish Sales Standards
Effectively communicates with team members and management on a consistent basis
Keeps abreast of training trends and best practices
Performs other duties as required, such as working in stores during promotional times

Knowledge of Rooms To Go Company Policies
Knowledge of Rooms To Go Product/Merchandise
Knowledge of Rooms To Go In-house computer and point-of-sale programs
Knowledge of various audio-visual programs and equipment
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel
Computer graphics a plus
Education
High School Diploma required/Bachelors degree a plus
Experience
Must have more than 2 years of Rooms To Go Sales and/or Store Management experience
Essential Requirements
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to effectively present (large groups as well as on video) and communicate with all Sales team leaders within the organization
Excellent ability to handle multiple priorities, meet demanding deadlines and adjust to sudden changes in workflow
Ability to administer a broad range of tasks including working with regional and district management, store managers and sales staff on the interpretation of sales performance and sales guidelines
Ability to provide updates on reports, and team up with others to enhance business correspondence and selling manuals
Ability to work with training staff and take initiative to help develop/implement new training seminars and/or materials
Ability to maintain all job-related information in a confidential and private manner
Working Environment
Ability to work extended hours may be required to meet deadlines, handle unusual workloads or to accomplish organizational priorities
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays. Including working extended hours, handling high volume workloads
Travel Required
Heavy travel expected (50% and above)
