As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and stack goods. Your proficiency in maneuvering materials safely and accurately is crucial to maintaining our operational flow and inventory integrity. This role requires physical stamina, the ability to perform significant lifting, and a deep commitment to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a proactive approach to task completion. Experience with various types of material handling equipment is highly valued. - Operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Stack and organize materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and wear the required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize material flow.
- Support other logistics and warehouse operations as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification and proven experience.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) regularly.
- Knowledge of material handling procedures and warehouse safety.
- Familiarity with various types of industrial equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
