About
We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in Chicago, Illinois. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our supply chain, involving the movement, organization, and tracking of materials within the facility. As a Material Handler, you will ensure that raw materials, components, and finished goods are efficiently managed, contributing directly to our production and logistics efficiency. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, maintaining accurate inventory counts, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, and all employees are expected to strictly follow procedures, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, the ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting, and attention to detail. You will work closely with production teams, supervisors, and other warehouse personnel to meet operational demands. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from production lines or designated areas.
- Organize and store materials according to established procedures.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing PPE.
- Follow proper Lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations.
