About
We're hiring a motivated Picker/Packer for our Indianapolis, Indiana distribution center! This role is fundamental to our e-commerce logistics, responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders. As a Picker/Packer, you will be tasked with locating items in the warehouse, picking them accurately, and preparing them for shipment. You'll ensure that orders are correctly assembled, packaged securely, and meet our quality standards before dispatch. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Safety is a top priority; you must adhere to all warehouse safety rules and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant standing, walking, and moderate lifting. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently are key. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using a pick list or scanning device.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Operate hand trucks or other equipment as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Contribute to a positive and safe team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous picking and packing experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to read and understand order details and product labels.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability for moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and PPE usage.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
