About
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in San Jose, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary role will involve ensuring that materials are moved accurately and on time, contributing to the smooth flow of our logistics operations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and must be able to work independently or as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation and a good understanding of warehouse procedures. We emphasize a culture of safety and require all employees to adhere to strict guidelines. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times. You will also be involved in general warehouse duties as needed, including sweeping and organizing your work area. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, and store materials.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Move inventory from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Accurately record inventory movements and quantities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
