About
Join our **Logistics** team in Madison, Wisconsin, as a Receiving Clerk! We are seeking a diligent and organized individual to manage the accurate intake of all incoming shipments. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying incoming goods against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly documenting all received items. This role is critical for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring a smooth flow of goods into our warehouse. A strong emphasis on **Safety** and adherence to procedures is required.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders, noting any discrepancies.
- Inspect incoming inventory for damages or defects and report issues accordingly.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tag and prepare incoming inventory for put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company **Safety** policies and **PPE** requirements.
- Perform **Lifting** of packages and materials as needed, following safe lifting practices.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient inbound **Logistics**.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is preferred. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and WMS experience. Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** up to 50 lbs, standing, and bending. Understanding of **Safety** regulations and proper use of **PPE**. Familiarity with **Logistics** operations is beneficial. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must be reliable and punctual.
