Our dynamic logistics company is seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every aspect of the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include unloading materials from trucks, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and properly documenting all received items. We are committed to maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment, and adherence to all safety protocols is paramount. You will work closely with vendors, delivery drivers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting. Prior experience in a warehouse or receiving environment is a plus. You will be expected to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in designated areas. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs, may be required. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Verify quantities and item accuracy against purchase orders.
- Document all received goods, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal staff.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management as needed.
- Perform general warehouse duties.
