We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position plays a crucial role in the initial stages of our logistics process, ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and documented. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strong sense of responsibility. You will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, verifying quantities, checking for damages, and ensuring that all items are correctly entered into our inventory system. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from carriers.
- Verify the contents of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Inspect goods for damage or defects, documenting any issues found.
- Accurately enter received inventory data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Organize and stage incoming goods for put-away or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform light to moderate Lifting, up to 35 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inspection.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with WMS is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
