Join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts, as a Material Handler. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your tasks will include loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring materials are efficiently distributed to their correct destinations. A strong focus on Safety and accuracy is paramount. We are dedicated to providing a secure workplace, and adherence to all Safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is non-negotiable. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production, or shipping docks.
- Stack and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment. Must be capable of physical labor, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be reliable and punctual. A strong commitment to Safety is required for this position.
