We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking orders, carefully packing items for shipment, and ensuring that all products meet our high-quality standards before they leave our facility. Your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced warehouse environment and grow within the logistics industry. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. Understanding warehouse operations and best practices is key to success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify order accuracy before sealing and preparing packages for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to the warehouse supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and inventory control.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Properly use provided PPE, including safety vests and gloves, to ensure personal safety.
- Be prepared for tasks that may involve significant Lifting of boxes, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Commitment to Safety in the workplace.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and Lifting throughout the shift.
- Must be able to wear required PPE consistently.
