Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels at our Jacksonville, Florida facility. This role is crucial for our logistics operations, ensuring that our stock is properly accounted for, organized, and accessible. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock management. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
  • Manage the flow of inventory, including receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend adjustments.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Train other staff members on inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, and promote a safety-conscious culture.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover, and accuracy for management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and other inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform lifting tasks and work in a warehouse environment, adhering to safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Understanding of logistics principles and supply chain management.
